3. They'll say they collided
But wits in Reuters said one was on fire, pulled up and hit the other and both went down. One crashed into a house. No word on casualties yet.

4. Happens all the time...
A Blackhawk I was in one time- clipped a tree with the tail rotar and we hit so hard, we crushed the landing gear.

Boy was the pilot pissed. Being in the Army is dangerous. period.

7. that's terrible for those boys and their families...
Edited on Sat Nov-15-03 02:10 PM by Dr Fate
I'm sad/angry as hell all the time about these situations ...

If Bush/media had not lied to us, we could have had UN troops to share these casualties, thus minimizing the pain of Americans...OR we could have even tried some other solution ...

But NO- Bush/media LIED and Troops DIED

Cake walk indeed! Lying Rat-Basdards.

9. A US patrol came under attack, when the Black Hawk came to help
it was shot down by a missile (not an RPG). The second Black Hawk either collided with the first, or it was shot down as well.

From Murdoch's Sky News:

An Iraqi police officer said that he saw assailants ambushing a US foot patrol in the area, prompting the intervention of a Black Hawk helicopter.

A missile was then fired towards the chopper, which crashed into a second Black Hawk as it tried to dodge the missile, he said.

The two helicopters belonged to the 101st Airborne Division which controls northern Iraq.

10. Oh, so these won't be counted as 'combat deaths'
Since the missle missed the first chopper.
:eyes:

Any bets?

11. There are a lot of flowers indeed but they come from greiving
relatives of our young GIs who gave their lives for the wealthy to get wealthier. God have mercy on America because we have lost our way and need God's mercy because no one else in the world gives a damn.
