FOX going after CNN?
Just saw a FOX trailer for their coverage later this evening. Indicated they will report on the questions CNN planted at the "Rock the Vote" debate. They say there is a whistle blower. I wonder what FOX's spin will be?

Also, what particular questions were supposedly planted? I haven't heard any details.

2. They don't have to go after a whistleblower
She announced it to the world - CNN asked her to ask the PC or Mac question and she did - CNN apologized but they did it so what is it FOX is going after? Fox is a gossip station

23. "Gossip Station" is by far too tame a term for Faux
"Propaganda outlet on par with Pravda or Reichsnews" is more like it.

3. 1 i know of is....
that silly question asking the candiates if they were mac or pc people.
it has also been shown on the second airing of Rock the Vote that CNN took it upon themselves to edit out certain parts of the orignal live debate where Clark shined. The question asked What were you doing at the age of 20 yrs. also removed was Dean admitting he took 1yr off to go skiing before attending college.

4. Retaliation for CNN ridiculing Faux News for the Franken suit?
Aaron Brown clearly delighted in reporting that verdict. I wouldn't doubt it. And O'Really is probably behind it -- as the vindictive bitch he is.

6. The CNN
"planted" question was totally innocuous: "mac or pc?" A play on the "boxers or briefs" question. Yeh, the producers shouldn't have done it, but in all honestly, it seems they were just trying to play to the young audience.

Totally amazing that an organization as vile, biased, discredited, rightwing and vengeful as Faux News has the NERVE to go after CNN for something like this.

I mean, considering the UNBELIEVABLE practices of their organization, from their biased daily memo that was leaked, to a former Republican operative Roger Ailes being their chief, to John Ellis (Bush's cousin) being in charge of their election coverage in 2000, they REALLY have some nerve.

Sometimes I just have to PINCH myself to see if I'm not really dreaming.

Our nation is in a sad state folks. It really is.

A BIG FUCK YOU to our friends at FAUX NEWS :hi:

You ALL will get yours one day.

7. Probably on FoxNews Watch
I have to say, I love shows that critique the media's performance. Call me a voyeur, if you want, but it's just great to see circle jerks on Saturday afternoons.

It's peculiar that they are going to cover this story, though, because they never covered the story from their former producer (!) about Faux's Ailes-written Daily Memo with complimentary talking points. Maybe it would be good to remind them of that story.

8. What is wrong with those people?
They have to be the pettiest, most vindictive entity this side of the Shrub administration. Do they really think anyone gives two shits about this now? It was exposed and falls under the catagory of "old news". Faux sucks.:silly:

12. Why do any of you give FAUX a minute of your time?
Please note these Neilsen Cable figures:

CABLE NEWS RACE
NITE OF 10/21/03

FOX O'REILLY 1.4
FOX HANNITY/COLMES 1.2
CNN LARRY KING 1.1
FOX SHEP SMITH 1.1
FOX BRIT HUME 0.9
FOX GRETA 0.8
CNN AARON BROWN 0.7
CNN PAULA ZAHN 0.5
MSNBC SCARBOROUGH 0.4
MSNBC ABRAMS 0.3
MSNBC OLBERMANN 0.2

8.5 million households watching news out of 70 million.
Gee, guess politics is really important to the sheeple. ONE rating point equals 1.08 million viewers

MORE PEOPLE WATCH GAME SHOWS AND SIMPSON'S RERUNS between 5 and 7PM THAN WATCH FAUX ON ANY GIVEN NIGHT.

16. Faux Sux and CNN Swallows
Have ya'll watched CNN lately? My husband and I used to watch Headline News almost all the time, but after they purposely made Dean look bad after the confederate flag issue, I have been a bit more skeptical. The blurb said something to the effect of Dean refuses to apologize for his remarks about the confederate flag. Then they would show Dean saying the sentence and immediately show Sharpton and Edwards jumping on him. It was the easiest way to make Dean look bad and they did it. If they cared about real news they would not have purposely put a negative spin to it and explain why he said what he said. The Daily Show and possibly MSNBC were the only news organizations to not put any spin on it. CNN makes me sick now, they gave almost NO attention to the fact that millions of Brits will be protesting Bush. Jon Stewart said in his interview with Bill Moyers that whenever they have journalists on they repeated say how they wish they could do the stories that TDS does and get away with it. They say that he has it right. JS was very bothered by this because they didn't even to think about how that IS their job. Luckily for us many people's faith in the news is faltering, did you read "If it burns, it earns"; the media is going down!

10. I hope they do. I'm a liberal and I prefer FAUX.
Here's why. If I hear something on the radio or see something on the internet, I can turn on FAUX and they have it on. CNN and MSNBC are totally useless on the weekends; mainly canned programming. Just garbage.

13. That's why I was watching FOX when I saw the trailer...
I was looking for coverage of the two black hawks crashing ... FOX had coverage. MSNBC and CNN did not at the time I was channel surfing.

14. One advantage to watching FAUX over CNN or MSRNC
With the other two, you're always wondering how much truth vs how much fraudministration spin. With FAUX there's no worries. It's 100% PNAC spin, from the official PNAC network.

11. LOL...think of the base audience at FAUX...
these are not you and I...these base people have the intellectual curiosity of bush.

To the base a t FOX, everything is simple sound and visual delights, nothing more. There is no 'depth' to ANYTHING they do...PBS/NPR, this is not.

:bounce:
