Ambassador Bremer and Conflicts of Interest
Edited on Sat Nov-15-03 03:19 PM by gulliver
Does Bremer have any business or financial conflicts of interest that would lead him to support Administration policy so unquestioningly?

It looks like he was an Ambassador until 1989 (14 years ago) and then he joined Kissinger Associates where he stayed for 10 years. Then he joined another consulting firm called Marsh and McKlennan.

In other words, Bremer is not just some successful ambassador that the Bushies recruited. It looks to me like he is more of a Republican consultant/loyalist.

Since I haven't seen any of this in the news, what I am wondering is if this is something that has been discussed before here at DU. Maybe it is harmless, but selling Bremer as (only) an "Ambassador" when he hasn't been one for fourteen years bothers me.
