so I wouldn't expect it to happen. Nothing else they've tried to do has worked, why do you think this will?
As the US military increasingly apes the Israeli tactics in Iraq, there will be a continuing increase in attacks against our troops. And what makes anyone think the new "Iraqi Defense Corps" won't be helping the resistance?
The best the US can hope for is to establish a new "strong man" in power who will keep things under control past next November. Our troops will come home, and all this will have cost us is thousands of dead and injured, and many, many billions of US dollars.
What we will have left behind us is chaos and regional instability.
Of course, FAUX and the other administration whores will try to put the blame on the people who opposed the war, rather than their own incredible inept policies.

This will be just in time for Iraq to explode at the seams with a civil war. Leave it to Bush to FUBAR anything he comes into contact with.
He's saying we will stay but he will do his damnedest to get out before the election.
He will sacrifice ANYTHING to get elected!
