as the other poster noted...These aren't Pioneers in Palm Beach having their personal secretaries write out checks for them.

The fact that it is on TV shouldn't interfere with their tradition. In fact sometimes this type of event is the only way the local Dems raise their money!

cause it's unfair to Braun and Dean to have had the room "built up" emotionally only to have a fundraising intermission right before their speeches.

Ahhhh...but the Deanies are chanting "We want Dean!" pretty loudly, so maybe I'm worried over nothing.

But it sure reminded me of a few of the concerts I've see. Dean didn't come out on the floor, but on the second level where a big section of his supporters were. He worked his way through the crowd. It was pretty damn impressive.

They're either playing music over the crowd or just silence. It's like they're trying to filter the ambiance. Perhaps so that the viewers aren't influenced by the crowd reaction?

I thought it was a great speech! The one thing I like is the stress on his supporters, instead of getting up and saying "He's the leader..." to change it all...but I've always liked that about his campaign.

Interesting pick of songs, that's for sure.

It was really hard to judge the reaction to any of their speeches. To tell you the truth, it all sounded about on the same level on my tv after the original instructions.

Next time they better have a good speaker system.
