Could Gephart have been any lamer against George Will on |
|
ABC's This Week?
He couldn't defend Soros' vow to spend as much as it takes to dump Bush. He couldn't defend maintaining tariffs against WTO's judgements . . .
C'mon, dude . . . you know G. "W." Will is going to be gunning for you.
Soros can only contribute 2000 dollars to any one candidate. He is not a special interest in the sense that he is trying to dump Bush for the good of the country, not to line his own pocket. That makes him completely different from PhArma or PAC's.
The US needs to renegotiate with the WTO, not thumb our noses at it like Bush does. For instance, the fact that health care is NOT nationalized means that business has to provide that as part of pay and benefits. This puts us at a tremendous competative disadvantage to other countries and should be included in the WTO calculations.
Get a clue, Gephart . . .

1. Gephart is the poster boy for the DLC. With Dem candidates like him |
|
we might as well save some money and forget the next election.
Thank God there are other democrats out the campaigning who have a backbone.

2. I really want to like Gephart |
|
But he was terrible. He just didn't have good answers to the questions. How can he, at this point, not be able to answer those questions better?
And how many times did he come back to, "But I'm going to win..."?
I respect Gephart for his union support, and I will send money and certainly vote for him if he's the nominee, but today's appearance left me cringing.

4. If you wish to start a vanity thread (ie: a discussion thread in which the sole purpose is to share your personal opinion) you must state your opinion in a non-inflammatory manner which respects differences in opinion and facilitates actual discussion.
