"George Bush killed my son." |

This is from a Chicago Tribune article about a painful funeral for First Lt. Brian Slavenas. He was the pilot of the Chinook that was shot down.

GENOA, Ill. -- First Lt. Brian Slavenas, a 30-year-old Army helicopter pilot killed in Iraq, was buried Thursday in a hometown cemetery after a funeral service that included red, white and blue flowers but no flag on his casket.
His mother, peace activist Rosemarie Dietz Slavenas, forbade military honors in the service at Faith United Methodist Church. His father, a veteran who had wanted a military funeral for his son, later accompanied Brian's brothers to a ceremony across town that included a 21-round rifle salute, a helicopter flyover by members of the fallen pilot's unit, and a bagpiper blowing strains of the traditional Army song, "The Caissons Go Rolling Along."

Dietz Slavenas, who had left the funeral service supported by a military liaison officer and another mourner, blasted President Bush for launching the war she said is unjustified.
"I challenge George Bush to put a price on my head and to display my battered body to the world, as he sent the battered, broken body of my son home to me," she said, her voice trembling. "My son was not a soldier. He was my son. George Bush killed my son."

They were talking about this mother on the radio here this evening; saying that she had dishonored the death of her son. Bastards.

1. Who the hell are these crazies on the radio |
|
Why are they so horrible? How are there so many of them? And why do they seem to monopolize the AM dial?
Does anyone know how the Right came to own Amplitude Modulation?
