Clark is "running to bring the Democratic Party together."
Democratic party? Hey that's us.

<snip>
On the Democratic field

"I'm running to be commander-in-chief and president ... but I'm also running to bring this Democratic Party together.

"I think one of the things that's very apparent to people on the outside, they can't quite understand why so many Democrats insist on attacking each other so virulently, when the real problem is George W. Bush.

"I'm sensing an enormous reservoir of interest and volatility in the electorate. People ... come up to me and say, 'I was thinking about so and so and so and so, but I'm going to go with you.' It's just a question of how many town hall meetings I can have in the remaining period of time."

It's ashame that so many of his supporters seem to be working against that goal.

I've been saying all along, we need to unite to defeat Bush..
Clark is smart enough to realize that.

5. Edwards took that up a long time before the General wandered in
just to be fair. started at least as far back as debate 1 or 2 can't recall.

22. Edwards said that. Then he hired Hugh Shelton as an
advisor. I guess that poll showing Clark winning in SC changed all of that. It usually does.

7. That's pretty arrogant
I've seen absolutely nothing from him that shows he can do such a thing. And he CERTAINLY won't be unifying ME.

10. They all are arrogant
They all think they are so great they deserve to be the most powerful person on Earth. How can you attack a presidential candidate for being arrogant? That is tantamount to attacking an NBA player for being atheletic.

liberal platform, ability to win, and he truly could bring the party together: of course "progressives" hate him. He can win which would destroy their reason for existence.

15. Pardon me?
Oh no, I will not be quiet.

I want everyone that reads this website to know that clark:

Filled out his FEC form as "UNK" when running in a Democratic primary

Did not become a democrat until October 17, 2003.

Praised whistle ass et al as late as May 2003.

Said that he liked and would like to work w/PNACers again

Voted for Nixon, Reagan, twice! and Poppy

Lobbied for Acxiom (Big Brother), which invades our privacy

Favors amending our Constitution, ergo our Freedom of Speech

Gave a graduation speech at SOA praising future terrorists

Dropped depleted uranium and cluster bombs on innocent men, women and children, poisoning their land and water which WILL produce birth defects for who knows how many decades.

I would have voted for the IRW. I would not have voted for the IRW. So said Wesley "Already the scent of victory is in the air" Clark.

At a conference in Switzerland, he happened to chat with two prominent Republicans, Colorado Gov. Bill Owens and Marc Holtzman, now president of the University of Denver. “I would have been a Republican,” Clark told them, “if Karl Rove had returned my phone calls.”

No, I will not be quiet. I want a Democratic president.

Truth be told, its a wasted effort. But she seems to take pleasure from it so it really doesn't hurt anything.

As you say. It is a wasted effort. But it's also harmless so who cares?

20. How can any Democrat with an open mind
who saw the Russert interview maintain that Clark is a Republican, a neo-con, a war criminal or a militarist? You simply refuse to open your minds and there is no cure for deliberate ignorance.

The Democrats need a fresh start. Clark is the man to do it. He would never say that we he would shine a big flashlight on fellow Dems and make them scurry like coakroaches. :puke:

26. I sense that he will bring the country together more than
any other candidate would be able to.

He doesn't see things so black and white, (realistic!), he is a diplomat, he's non-partisan whenever he can be, smart, and liberal as well.

I don't agree with every stance of Clarks', but he is my DREAM candidate because of all of his assets.
