1. Guilt or innocence has nothing to do with justice in America today
Well, it might in that the more guilty you are, the more it's going to cost. Other than that, the justice system in America is a farce.

2. No.
And the reason he won't be charged isn't because he's a conservative. (Although that helps.) It's because he's rich.
Rich people don't "do" jail ...that's reserved for us peasants.

10. In Jeb’s Florida there will be enough pressure
on the prosecutors that they will give Rush the citizen of the year award for breaking up a drug ring and having the courage to seek treatment.

No, there will be no legal consequences.

4. Well....according to CNN this AM...
FL is still investigating the situation, and Limbaugh and his housekeeper could face drug trafficking charges. I would suppose the Housekeeper is more at risk, simply because the $ situation rears it ugly head; then again, I thought she was given immunity to turn states evidence.

7. "Still investigating"
- In other words...they'll pretend to investigate until this issue drops down the memory hole.

- Florida copped the 2000 election for Bush*. They're certainly not going to put one of Bush's* biggest fans in jail.

- Dan Burton's son was caught with 18 pounds of pot in his car trunk. Can you guess what happened to him?

8. Rush
I'd like to know how a person can become cured in 30 days or less from a highly addictive drug. Then return to his job like nothing happened. Then I saw yesterday he was inducted into the radio hall of fame and the broadcasters hall of fame, per fox news low running news feeds. Its just like someone else's daughters, in possession of illegal substance-no charges,no news.

16. He's already failed once
and his chances of succeeding here aren't great - particularly since he can't have dealt with all his issues and STILL be willing to go back to his vile job.

Some info on abuse of "legal" drugs and the treatment...

http://www.prescriptiondrugaddiction.com/treatment.asp
Treatment Can Work For You
The good news is that treatment is available. And, treatment works. Studies by the National Institute on Drug Abuse show that 40 to 50 percent of those entering treatment programs are able to remain drug free for three to five years; the study also shows that another 30 percent significantly reduced their use of drugs.

--snip--

In-Patient Treatment
In-patient treatment, in which an individuals stays in a residential treatment center, usually involves three to six weeks at a treatment facility. Treatment is usually followed by extended outpatient therapy in such support groups as Narcotics Anonymous or Alcoholics Anonymous.

Once admitted for inpatient treatment, individuals are usually assigned a primary counselor, who will oversee their treatment program. During the inpatient stay, individuals are also asked to participate in both individual and group therapy. Treatment programs also may include watching instructional video tapes, listening to lectures, writing assignments, reading materials on recovery, and attending twelve-step meetings. The goal is to teach individuals how to live without drugs and how to avoid situations that could lead to a relapse. For example, individuals may learn to carefully select the types of company they keep or the places they visit. Are they living in a drinking and drugging environment that they may not be appropriate for them? If so, plans need to be made to avoid these settings

13. I question whether legally he could be charged...
He wasn't caught in posession and the evidence they have is a taped phone conversation that I'm not sure is legal in Florida and some emails. Since the housekeeper worked in the house, they could argue she wrote the emails to herself. If I'm not mistaken, the housekeeper made her deal to get her suppliers and sold her story on Rush as a bonus to the Enquirer.

Unless there was some undercover surveillance of Rush by the authorities that hasn't been made public, I would be suprised if they could come up with something to use as solid evidence of a crime.

9. Nahhhh, I Doubt That Rush Will Be Charged With Anything
I doubt that Rush will be charged with anything for his role in the Oxycontin affair. After all, we all know that high-profile "Conservatives" do indeed have "special rights."

12. Nope,
I heard this morning on State Run TV that prosecuters will not be going after Rush, but the would going after the people who supplied the drugs to him.

The media is trying place the blame on the people who sold him the drugs. This places Rush in the victim category (at least to his non-thinking listeners).

Rush belongs in jail.

Cheers
Drifter

14. Anybody else catch CNN Headline news
About 4:30 am or so? When the anchor was talking about rush going back on the air this week I could have sworn I heard her say at the end of the piece "And we welcome him back." I may have misheard it since I was reading the paper at the same time. But I thought that was an odd thing for her to say.

17. That would probably be Carol Costello.
Who later went on to exclaim "Oh no!" when told by her Euro counterpart that Michael Moore is in London promoting his new book.

15. It's time for the golden throat orator to tell his sheep
how to think on this situation. Come on, Rush, tell them that they should be thankful that rich people do not have to pay such penalties since it is the rich who keep them, the scum, employed in this nation. Tell them that that is just the way it is in this country and they should be grateful for it. Ask them where the hell they think they would be if we put rich people in jail---tell them they would be unemployed. And thus, conclude to them, that it is necessary that there be laws for the poor but that the rich need not abide by them. Come on, baby, I know your drug soused pathetic brain can work up these type of convluted thoughts and sell them to those brain dead listeners and not a one of them will still realize that you get all those millions from corporate America so you can buy lots and lots of drugs because you deliver them to the polls to vote against their own well being year after year after year.

19. I doubt anything is done........this time
el pigboy's self imposed sentence will in all likelihood will be the end of the matter. However, I strongly suspect that this little rehab was more lawyer induced than anything, and it won't be long until our favorite hypocrite will be downing double the number of oxy's. Then they'll have to do something.
