Operation Ivy Cyclone? What happened to Operation Iron Hammer??
I say next week we have Operation "Cold Thunder" followed by Operation "Infinite Margaritas".

http://www.cnn.com/

The U.S. military has launched a "massive" offensive against insurgents based around Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, as part of the 4th Infantry Division's Operation Ivy Cyclone, U.S. military sources said.

2. I don't know...
but Operation Ivy used to be one of my favorite bands. Someone in the Pentagon must be rocking out to "Take Warning" and "Room Without A Window" this very minute!

10. Ivy Is the Symbol of the 4th Infantry
The word "ivy" represents the 4th Infantry. The word "cyclone" is just tagged onto it, to suggest a ferocious attack. I think they're just blowing up buildings. They're not attacking anything they don't already control.

11. hey...no laughing...Ivy is hard to get rid of in the garden
in fact ...Persistent Mint would be an even better operation name since Mint is impossible to get rid of once it takes hold.....
