A friend of mine is in the opening stages of organizing a "Quit Smoking For Dean" group that will donate money saved from quitting to the campaign. I will be participating. If anyone is interested, even a little, feel free to email or PM me. This is in the early stages of development, but we're hoping to raise some serious cash with this.

It wouldn't hurt NC very much. But I don't smoke to help my state's economy, and the price NC will have to pay for my health care since I'm a state employee, well, you can do the math!
I do smoke Camels though, out of state pride.

Unfortunately I spend more on nicotine lozenges than I did on cigarettes. It's still a great idea, keep us informed.

Just think of the possibilities. You could try to organise "Ex-Junkies For Dean", "Recovering Alcoholics For Dean"...lots of more costly vices than smoking out there. This country's chock-full of addicts. How about "Give Up Caffiene For Dean"? That's even got a catchy rhyme.
EDIT: the above is just me being silly (so don't take offence). Seems like a good way to come up with money you might not otherwise be able to afford to support your candidate...and good luck with the quitting.

We'll never get anyone elected without coffee or caffiene...me thinks I smell a republican shadow plan...all the Dems will sleep more if they quit drinking coffee/cola....

I know guys who get their childrens names tattooed by never their wives. Of course you can do a coverup tattoo but that is a pain in the ass...
But I agree with you 100%. :hi:
