Creative ideas wanted...
To my surprise, I received a letter from the Republican Party on Saturday. (I am a registered Democrat).

I opened the envelope, and in it was a letter from the Chairman of the RNC telling me how great it was to have me as a grassroots contributor, and a glossy 81/2x11 photo of our little Dictator himself, little Smirkolini, smirking away in a military looking tan jacket.

What was asked of me is 2 things: First, I had to send $$, and second I had to sign under the affirmation that I was INDEED going to FRAME and PROMINENTLY DISPLAY the photo in my home.

After a few bouts of convulsive retching subsided, I was dumbfounded.

First, as I reread the letter, I noticed there was NO MENTION of achievements of the Bush Cabal (well, we know why: there are none). None whatsoever. It was all about the Chimp's picture, whether it was in good condition, and how greatly I deserved to have one of my very own to frame and display. It was more like a cult letter than a political fundraising letter.

Second, I cannot for the life of me figure out why I, of all people, received this horror. Then, it hit me (I am in California) that during the recall petition campaign, I was asked to sign a petition AGAINST the recall. I signed it enthusiastically. However, it hit me later that I had not seen the text of what I was signing and I have to this day the firm suspicion that a lot of these signatures were obtained fraudulently. I even contacted my county's election officials about this, but they gave me the runaround. Now, my suspicions are increased by the fact that I am suddenly appearing on a list of El Smirko's sympathizers.

My question to you all is this:

Can you think of some creative things I can do with this picture (and letter?)? all suggestions are welcome!

7. ask them for more
eleven more in fact, and let them know that with their permission you'd like to put together a calendar to raise money for education. You know how strongly the pResident feels about Leaving know child in the classroom...ummm, i mean behind.

i received this recently in an e-mail

"Did you hear about the 12 Oregon men (mostly elderly farmers) who posed nude for a pin-up calendar to raise money for their local schools?

Don't worry, we're not asking you to pose nude. But we do need your help to make sure our kids get the education they need to help them learn, grow and succeed.

Children across the country are suffering because of education budget cuts. Over-crowded classrooms. Teacher layoffs. Cuts in school security. Outdated textbooks. Charging for busing to and from school. These are only a few of the problems America's children face because education is not a priority for our politicians.

Since its launch less than a year ago, the GiveKidsGoodSchool.com campaign has built an army of education activists that is 75,000 strong! These concerned citizens, parents, teachers, grandparents, neighbors and students are communicating directly with community leaders and state and federal decision-makers to make sure our kids get the education they need to succeed. We are making a difference!"

8. You could hang it upside down
and send them a picture of where you have it on the wall. Amid pictures of our troops who've died in Iraq, if you can find some.

10. Have a bowl of spicy bean chili with jalapeno chasers
or anything else that tends to "loosen you up", and when you answer the call of nature, wipe your ass with the picture and send it back to the RNC.

12. Woa Wait A second ...I'm suspicious
has a contribution been made in your name .

This stuff is happening way too often . Why is your
name on their list ? Have they recieved money in your name ?
and if so who donated money in your name for you ?

I'm sorry if I'm opening a can of worms , but
I'm very suspicious of this and wouldn't doubt
if some republican Billionaire is using names
so he can give more money .

14. I heard about that anti-recall petition. Many Democrats
signed it and when I voiced my suspicions, I was told, even by some on DU, that I was being paranoid. I think that many Democrats unknowingly signed a petition for the recall, not against it. I think we should demand to see those petitions. Don't you,all Californians?

16. rip the picture up into tiny pieces
if you have a dog - have him pee on it (dogs like to pee on bushes ya know)

or roll it around in the cat litter box if you have a cat

if you don't have a dog or cat, see if a friend or neighbor will let their dog pee on it

while it's still wet - stuff it into the return envelope and mail it back to them
