6. She just can't resist.
She would rather attack Clark than do anything to help Dean.

7. Of course steramrollers leave everything flat and featureless.
That may be why he's dropped to single digits in NH.

Don't get me wrong. I like the guy, but he's just not "impressive" to the folks on the fence. There doesn't seem to be any fire in his belly which may explain why his high numbers before people had a chance to hear him have given way to low numbers after people have had a chance to hear him.

10. Real fire in the belly
You may already have seen this or heard of it. Here's the video link to Clark being interviewed by Fox where the interviewer trys to twist Clark calling the Iraq war a "sideshow" to the war on terror, implying he is being dirsrespectful to the troops who are over there fighting it. Real fire, true real fire. I know that this may not be the context you are referring to, but it is still instructive to see Clark take strong command of the situation. By the way, I have been tracking him closely and I am a supporter, but he is getting stronger by the week as he gets the hang of campaigning:

Here's a conventional entry point through the Fox front page.

There is a seperate thread about this interview by the way...

12. Something fishy about Clark?
Doesn't anyone ask the question as to why Clark went from being a Republican to "suddenly" coming to the Democratic side????? I, for one, question his validity to all of the hype about being on the Democrats side. Where does his loyalty lie .... Republican or Democrat .... I sure wish someone with clout would look into this and give me an answer.

13. Clark didn't go "suddenly" from Repub to Dem
He voted Democratic in the last three Presidential elections. He was registered as an Independent which is how the majority of people in his home state register. His career at the highest levels of the military was by constitutional mandate non partisan. It is perhaps fair to question why he shifted from fundamentally being Independent to being a Democrat, but Clark was not a Republican.

14. We've been around this block a few times.
As a member of the military, Clark was consequently non-partisan. His personal beliefs and positions on the issues classify him as a Democrat.

How many Republicans do you know who want gays serving in our military?

And welcome to DU, btw... :hi:

If you've been paying attention to his campaign at all, you'd know that. It has been asked at least a million times here on these boards and on all the news programs. And answered. Read a little. The only "fishy" thing I can see is how you missed this little nugget of information. Even my cats are aware of the answer to this particular question.

21. I've voted the same way he did in every election (since "76)
I went from being a Republican (was born and raised that way - unfortunately) to being a very liberal Dem. It's kind of like being an ex-smoker. I absolutely will never ever vote for another Republican again. I can't stand ANY of the Pubs in office (well sometimes I like McCain when he gives the Bush Admin. grief).

No-one is more outspoken about how despicable the Republican Party is.

It's kind of like us ex-Republicans are ashamed of our past and over-compensate for it.

19. This Dean Supporter Gives Clark A+'s For His TV Performances
Edited on Mon Nov-17-03 07:13 PM by David Zephyr
Wesley Clark really ate up and spit out every petty attempt by Russert to trip him up.

Clark is definitely ready for Prime Time.

Congratulations to all you Clark supporters. You have found a solid candidate.
