Strange Bush Quote:
From "Victory for Anti-Bush Protesters," at http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,7901652%255E1702,00.html:

"The president says he understands why people oppose war.

"'I understand particularly when I go and hug the mums and dads and brothers and sisters and sons and daughters of those who died,' today's edition of The Sun newspaper in London quoted him as saying."

1. How many "mums and dads" has Bush hugged?

2. Did he really use the word "mum," or was he simply misquoted after saying "bums"?

2. visits families?
I believe Bush said that he would visit with the families of British soldiers on his state trip.

I heard on ABC news last week that while Bush does not attend military funerals, he has visited with family members of American soldiers. Is this true? Not to sound crass, but I didn't think Bush would do this without cameras.

5. He does it without camaras because he doesn't want
any attention given to the war dead. This way the Freepers are satisified that * has done his duty, and the public isn't reminded of his crimes.

4. Sounds like he's dreaming again...
Like the dream about serving in VN. I expect that dream to extrapolate where he saved the entire Province of Pleiku from pajama clad VC and 2 BN's of NVA Regulars, culminating in the capture of Ho Chi Mihn himself and the subsequent hanging of said Ho by a youthful bush.

Let's not forget that Reagan "flew missions over Berlin" as well.
But at least Reagan had the decency to get out of Beruit when reality smacked him in the face.

:grr:

6. He's hallucinating
when did * say this? He said in the past that he would be the one who would have to hug the families. Does he now think that he actually went out and did so? Just like he hallucinated that he is/was a serviceman/pilot, rather that an AWOL rich-boy privileged to fly around in a trainer plane that would never see combat. Just like his predecessor Ronnie hallucinated that he actually served in WWII. What kind of drugs do the feed these repugs anyway?

Any mums, dads, brothers, sisters out there been hugged??? ...... Eh? ..... hmmm, no one seems to remember this other than you *, you drug addled lying POS.

7. I think some time ago I read here in DU that when he goes to
the hospital to visit the wounded (not too frequent an event, I bet) he talks to the parents of the wounded. I have never read that he has visited with any parent of the dead.
