3. Clark is a REPUG ...Just kidding
Edited on Mon Nov-17-03 04:59 PM by xultar
about his stance on the IRAQ war. He also praised Bush. He's a baby killer war monger who is a war criminal escaping from justice. He has republican hair and he looks like count dracula.

OK now that we've got that out of the way let's discuss the poll.

What is it saying?

4. Encouraging numbers
A large majority say that * is not in touch with their problems... (57 to 42 or something) and, I think I saw that more were definitely voting against Bush vs voting for him (33 definitely against and 24 definitely for...)

5. EEEEEEEEEvil!
You forgot:

1) Clark is anti-baby
2) Clark is pro-cancer
3) Clark doesn't watch "Survivor"
4) Clark didn't like the new Beyonce album

and most damning of all:

5) He doesn't subscribe to digital cable

Really, I don't think I want to raise children in a world where such a man is president.

17. Who cares if he didn't like the Beyonce album?
4) Clark didn't like the new Beyonce album

What matters is if you like Beyonce. That woman alone is responsible for half the global warming we've been experiencing ;-)

6. Clark and Dean
are tied at 16%, Kerry is next with 12%

Bush's unfavorables are climbing a bit and the % people who will definitely not vote for him is about 10 point high than the people who definitely will.

THat's about it in a nutshell.

8. I guess the question will become ....
who gets the 68% now attributed to other candidates and to favorite son "Don't Know"....when some of these candidates start to drop out!

That's why anybody saying that this nomination is in the bag is fooling themselves! Can you hear me Dean folks?????

21. Oh yes, I forgot
Thanks for reminding me, ALL of us "Dean folks" are CONVINCED that he's going to win everything. ALL of us think he's a lock for the nomination. ALL of us think there's nobody else competitive in the race. ALL of us think the race is over, not just starting.

And there I was, thinking that the primaries are two months off, that "don't know" still gets the most votes in these polls, and that the general election is still a year away. Thank you for reminding me that I don't actually think those things, but rather that he has it "in the bag."

Don't forget, next time you're stereotyping all of us, be sure to hammer home the talking points (we're being duped, we're all basically cult members, none of us can express an independent thought, etc.). I notice you forgot those this time.

7. Don't forget that Dean is unelectable.
Can't let him get nominated, or else he'll just lie down and let Bush make ad after ad attacking him without responding.

10. See my post above
84% of Democrats are not saying "DEAN".......We've got the power a la Tim Robbins....only 16% are......

So the conversation is just beginning.......

20. following that logic
68% are saying "Not Dean or Clark" (and i'm in the Clark camp). To me it says there's a lot of people out there that like a lot of different things. In some sense - this is a good thing - we have a pretty 'big tent' party. In another, well, it denies us a single banner to rally behind.

So - considering this - i really wish the candidates would stop all the negative campaigning and just focus on positives. You can contrast your position with another candidate without it being an attack.

19. huh?
Dean's going to respond----he's a fighter for chrissakes (also used to be a wrestler in high school)---there's no way he's going to let Bush shaft him in the general election.

14. It says Clark's and Dean's support nationally is about the same..
It also shows Clark gaining a coupla points but could
be statistical variance.

My summary, Clark is holding tight. On the other hand,
he is doing not hot in NH right now.

I think thing will look a lot clearer in march ;)

9. Note:68% of Dems might change their vote for nomination!Only 30% certain!
8. Are you certain to support a candidate for the Democratic nomination, or do you think you might change your mind?

Certain to vote 30%
Might change vote 68%
No opinion 2%

2003 Nov 14-16

Margin of error ±5 percentage points.  Based on 393 Democrats or Democratic leaners who express a candidate preference.

(It is apparent that the Democratic nomination for the Presidency is still wide open--68% figure is astounding--as much as Karl Rove and the media prefer to tout Dean as the inevitable nominee.)
