If right-wingers don't publicly condemn a sin, they are doing it
Rush Limbaugh says that the didn't publicly condemn drug abuse since 1995 because he knew he had a secret.

Bill Bennett says that he is not a big hypocrit for wasting away millions gambling because he never condemned it.

According to Sen. Santorum and Justice Scalia logic, because these guys do not denounce something, are they then doing: Necrophilia? Cannibalism? Bestiality? Child molestation? War Crimes? War Profiteering?

5. I will cut some slack
for Bennett on his gambling. No one has ever been able to produce a single speech, talking head show comment, or anything he ever wrote that put gambling in a negative light, or condemned gambling or gamblers in any way. In fact, to this day I understand he still says that gambling is 100% OK if you want to go out and do it. He just doesn't do it any more.

Plus I am a gambler. Love it.

6. And how's that working out for you?
Doing anything to the point where you are spending millions and doing it in secret is a bad thing. But you are more than welcome to personally cut Bennett some slack for it. Heck, you can personally start agreeing with him on everything (not saying you are) if you've found you have something in common.

8. I don't have millions to gamble
but if I was obscenly rich to where losing a few million in the poker room didn't matter I would most likely put that much at risk.

I have my gambling budget and I stick to it. In fact, my wife controls the deposits into it to make sure the right amount is in there.

7. Oh, and let's note how George W. Bush is mum on drug abuse
.
