I finally found something good about Poppy Bush...
He nominated David Souter to the Supreme Court. (Christ, I can't get over how left-wing some Republican SC nominees have been in the past.)

7. I thought Souter was a sleeper and a big surprise to the right wing after
his appointment. IIRC he did not offer a great deal of unsolicited information to the panel.
