The bush regime has hijacked our US government, and is now using it for profiteering, power grabbing and personal gain.

The gop is in shambles, falling apart at the seams, as evidenced by no less than 30 hours of debate over bush regime appointments.

The gop poster boy of morality and integrity is a junkie.

Disparage, extrapolate, expound upon, run with it. We need to repeat these truths loud and often, to now tear down the prisons the bush regime is building for us on their divide and conquer attack on our Constitution.

The American people have now proven themselves completely incapable of holding their government accountable to them - making a true democracy here perhaps an impossibility - thereby making our weapons arsenal an incredible threat to all of mankind!

5. I've been warning people that this was going to happen since Iran/Contra.

I have a bet made in 1979 for $1000 bucks that the Soviet Union wouldn't last until 1995. He welshed.

Point being that some of us have been yelling that we were going to end up as the Corrupt Cop of the World if we let it happen.

6. I have been noticing for years..

and feeling more and more powerless over the fact that very few people seem to be aware of it or do anything about it. We are aware here at DU, but the rest of the country just sits around eating their pork rinds and waving the flag.

I am not so sure that the usual "democratic" means are going to change the situation either. Desperate times call for desperate measures, but will we ever stop all this infighting and get together to dismantle the single most dangerous force the world has ever known?

Usually, by the time people notice that something is seriously wrong, it's too late.
