I get so tired of the Repukes throwing around McGovern and Dukakis. I shut up my ditto head brother the other day when he said that Dean would be just like McGovern (a loser).

I then asked him that in light of what happened with Nixon, don't you think a lot of people wish they had supported McGovern? All he could do was go into the great Repuke mantra "Nixon did what all politicians do, he just got caught".

He's about to get laid off as the grovery chain back home closes all it's stores, and HE STILL SUPPORTS THE CHIMP! How do we win.

The article goes to great pains to show how Dean is not like Mcgovern, but it is really a thinly veiled hatchet piece on Dean.

If anyone cares, I have yet to make up my mind, but a Dean/Landreau or Clark/Dean ticket would be fantastic.

He is (still) thoughtful and wise and competent. I fail to understand why people revile him so.

4. I go nuts when I hear repukes trash McGovern as unpatriotic,

or a peacenik, or any one of a host of epithets favored by chickenhawk wingnuts. George Mcgovern flew over 25 missions in a B-22 bomber into the teeth of the greatest flak barrage in history; one which killed thousands of his brother airmen. He was also awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for conspicuous gallantry in action. Then, during the '72 Presidential campaign, running against a man who spent WWII in the supply corps, he expressly forbade his campaign managers from ever referencing his wartine heroism. The next time you hear someone start to slam McGovern, lay a few facts on their worthless ass!
