A young twirp at AARP said "something is better than nothing."
I called to get a refund for the two years we had paid ahead. I had to wait forever, then he said may I ask why you want a refund?

I then officially lost it and unloaded my full anger. He kept saying maam maam, and I yelled stop calling me maam.

He said something is better than nothing. I will not tell you what I said, but my refund is on the way.

He was a young twirp trying to sound official.

We just joined

I called my congressmen and told them we cancelled AARP....just wanted to be sure they knew.

1. No, in this case...
The "something" they're ramming down our throats (and NOT just seniors' throats, either), IS, in fact, a LOT worse than "nothing"!

B-)

4. I called my Senators
and told them I had just cancelled AARP and I would be cancelling them if they don't oppose this BS of a bill.

Have you all been to the boards at AARP? The membership is hot.
I suggest that we all call AARP. Even if you are not a member. A friend called to tell them to stop sending their junk mail to her house as she would NEVER consider joining now.

One member on the boards said that AARP now stands for
American Association of Republican Pleasers. He cancelled his membership.

:argh:
