1. Okay I read it... what a piece of crap.
Confuses capitalism with democracy. When Shrub says he wants freedom for people, he means capitalism (christ, he doesn't even want freedom for us!), and what he means by capitalism is helping his friends and supporters to more power, control, and wealth. Yes, freedom for everybody!

5. Right.
Since when does Bush care about democracy? We have enough problems maintaining it here in the United States. And the LAST thing he's going to do is let the Iraqis democratically set up a fundamentalist government. All this is about is opening up financial opportunities for his business buddies. It's a joke to think Bush actually cares about the well-being of anybody.

3. BWAAAAHHHA "But nobody, after reading that democracy speech
can doubt the man's passion for bringing at least some form of democracy to those parts of the world where people are still denied it."

Actually nobody, after reading that democracy speech can doubt chimpy's speechwriters' passion for making their boss look like he has a passion for bringing democracy to that part of the world, playing down of his actual passion--making his friends money.

6. That entire speech
was meaningless platitude. I tried watching it, live, but found myself spacing out constantly. Every time I tried to pay attention I got wrapped up in the seemingly ironic nature of what he was saying. It was just a worthless bunch of words.

4. A Favorite movie line comes to mind
"Pledge allegiance to the Union? You ought to have us turn around and bend over!" :silly:

well it seems they want us to TRUST ol dubya. Highly suspicious.

movie line was of course from Josey Wales.
