Nightmare scenario: Candidate X choose Lieberman for VP |
|
Edited on Wed Nov-19-03 12:23 AM by WillyBrandt
Just had this horrible thought I wanted to share.
Imagine if your Candidate--let's term him "Dlark" or "Clean" (I prefer the latter)--chooses Joe Lieberman as his running mate.
Not totally out of the realm of possibility, but it would make me cry.

... be a complimentary influence to someone like Dean. We could give 'em the ol' left-right.

3. I think that's pretty far outside the realm of possibility |
|
Lieberman is the "pro-war" candidate…
now if you wanna talk about Gephardt choosing him…

9. I don't think Lieberman "works and plays well with others" |
|
in the 2004 campaign - not enough for this scenario to come true.
Why choose a VP candidate who "lost" (that's in quotes, folks) the last election?

She's Kryptonite to them. There's nothing she can do for us that other candidates can't.

Lieberman hasn't been so Zell Miller-like against Democrats since he got beat down for it earlier in the campaign.
And, I honestly like the guy when he's not attacking Democrats.

there's no way Lieberman will be on the ticket. His was the most disasterously horribly run by a major party candidate in my lifetime-including Dan Quayle.

You know that story about the two brothers one went out to sea and one became vice president, neither were ever heard from again. HA HA that's funny, ha ha.

15. Lieberman in my view is toast. |
|
It won't happen. I honestly believe that the DLC were hoping that he would become the nominee but he has blown that chance. I honestly think they are backing Wesley Clark in hopes that he will scuttle Howard Dean but that has not happened.
