has anyone used the "magic bullet" theory against Specter in an election?

has anyone used the "magic bullet" theory against Specter in an election?
I would think someone could build an entire campaign around that issue alone.

I mean, anyone that could believe the theory, much less conceive it, clearly lacks basic logic and shouldn't be serving in the senate.

2. Cyril Wecht ran against John Heinz in 1982...
and though I always thought Heinz was relatively benign for a Republican, I really wanted Wecht to win.

That might have gotten interesting - the man who came up with the single bullet theory (Specter) and the man who re-named it the "magic bullet" (Wecht) serving in our glorious US Senate side by side from the same state.

But alas, PA was in the middle of a 40-year no-Democratic-US Senator-drought and Wecht was creamed by Heinz by something like 700,000 votes out of 4 million cast.
