Poll question: What does a race without Dean look like
Just curious how the votes fall without Dean in the race. Who would you vote for?

5. This is as useful
as contemplating a race with Hillary. Hillary isn't running and Dean isn't dropping out. End of story.

8. Course hes not
I just thought it would be interesting to see where deans support would go.

Its certainly not meant to represent reality in anyway.

Just an attempt to see where people lean if Dean isnt there.

2. This poll will never receive an honest answer
The true-believers of any candidate will all refuse to accept a scenario without their boy, though I hold out hope that everyone here will vote Democratic in the general. Since Lieberman has no chance to win, all the major candidates with the possible exception of Gephardt are monumental improvements on Bush. Further, they all SHOULD have a good chance of winning.

3. I agree any one of them stand a good shot of beating shrub
Why would people misrepresent thier suport on this poll though?

Are you saying people will vote for say sharpton just so some other candidate doesnt get thier support?

It may happen but it seems awfully silly to me for people to do that. Dean isnt represented in this poll it has no bearing on his support other than to see where that support goes if he is not in the race.

well this doesn't say much for kerry, if he's polling with
sharpton, and braun. I like dean, I like clark, kerry is okay, but he seems to be a re-hash of dukakis. you know blah, blah, blah. when I see dean, I really don't give a shit whether we win or lose, I feel like somebody is going to give them hell. clark is like kerry to me, but he has moments, that kerry doesn't.

but with clark, I'm always worrying about what's around the corner.

19. We've got the same thing with Dean (they're my #1 and #2)
Much as I hate to admit - either one could either be fantastic OR a disaster. I wish I knew...

10. I'd have to say Kerry...

Because while I do not agree with his support for the IWR, no child left behind, keeping parts of bush's tax cuts etc... Kerry is no doubt a dem and he could easily win.

Plus Kerry never said he felt murdering journalists was OK and he never worked as a lobbyist for defense contractors trying to profiteer off 9-11.

15. Edwards.
He's pretty damn likable, and has some great plans he talks about in detail. It used to be Kucinich until he got too annoying at all the debates.

20. Clark, Kerry, Edwards, Gephardt - in that order - IF there's no Dean...
Kucinich's social agenda is much more akin to my beliefs but I like Clark's national security experience and his knowledge of world affairs.

I wish we could have a Domestic President/Minister and a Foreign Affairs President/Minister. Of course, if Clark really sticks to this platform - then he's actually pretty good (pro-Kyoto, pro-affirmative action, pro-environment, compassionate on Criminal Justice).
