Edited on Wed Nov-19-03 02:07 PM by burythehatchet
to report, like the protests that are taking place in London, the Medicare bill, and the energy bill. No. These are not newsworthy. Michael Jackson getting arrested is however, THE most important issue affecting our lives.

1. Well, it's the 20th anniversary of the release of "thriller", and all...
Guess he had to do SOMETHING to get people to "remember" him; plus, apparently, he really needs the money...:eyes:

B-)

2. No, really!...
He just released a compilation of Number Ones yesterday, ala Beatles and Elvis (Sorry Jacko, but buying their copyrights and/or wedding their offspring still doesn't put you in their caliber)!

Didn't 'History' come out around the time of Allegation Uno?

And to think we all thought the Elephant Man Bones thing was a bizarre publicity stunt...

5. Sheeeesh...
If the press acted the way they're doing in the press conference that's on now the same way with Bush, he'd out of office.

Media frenzy time.

8. Not only Bush but where was the circus over Limbaugh?
What purpose is the press conference except to gloat and to poison the water?

12. Don't blame the media.....
Blame the apathetic celebrity driven culture we live in. This nation is a shadow of its former self and that's why this story will be HUGE.

We are a shallow and dazed nation of idiots and this story is what the idiots crave like a junkie craves dope. The media is simply giving the addicts what they want. That's what's so discouraging and frankly scary about this story.

14. disagree
I think that's their biggest lie, that they're just giving the people what they want.

Remember the fake CNN question at "Rock the Vote?" CNN was telling us that people care about stupid shit, and that turned out to be a lie.

has been carrying the Senate session all day long. The debate on the energy and medicare bills has been most enlightening.

23. Hey, Everybody,....It's a Two-Fer
Bush protests are "not happening"

Jacko "the Freako" Jackson has gobbled up every spare minute of coverage..

The guy is a certifiable NUTCASE, but come on....

and the bonus..

CBS AGAIN gets slam dunked.. Remember how much the right wingers hate "the network of *shudder* Dan Rather"..

They slammed them over the Reagan movie, and now Michael Jackson is dragging them down again..

and CBS is getting rocked over the "Fashion show" stuff they plan to run..

Watch for a "hostile takeover". That would be the next logical step.:(

I just wish someone would start a Scandal channel, and then all the crap could be deposited there, but then the others would still want to cover sleazy stuff..
