Bush is taller than average. I notice that some of his PR says he's 6', as if it's a "magic" number ... he himself says he's about 5'11", and recently his literature seems to back that up ... guess they figure that they have other ways of making him look authoritative now.

Anyway, most people tend to estimate him as being much shorter. Conversely, some esteemed leaders (like Pierre Trudeau) tend to have their height overestimated ... we just expect them to be "big", I guess.

His PR stuff says he's 5'11 - but I don't believe it. He doesn't appear to be much taller than Laura, and she is not a tall woman. Jebbie is 6'4" - and that seems to be true.

Dean is 5'9" - which is true, because I've met him. I am taller than he is - which didn't bother him a bit. Some short guys wig out if a woman is taller than they are.

Of course on top of being short, Bush is a moral pygmy.
