18:00 news saying the US notifies local Iraq citizens before bombing |
|
Is this true? Are we trying not to hurt innocents?

how do they keep from notifying the "terrorists" at the same time?
tehy are leveling people's HOMEs because guerillas are using them. Makes me believe they are all soomewhat together
seems easy enough for the "Saddam loyalists" to heed the same advice as the locals, no?

2. I guess if you think that destroying their homes and livelihoods doesn't |
|
count as hurting them, then yeah.
Warning folks is halfway decent----and I guess only the civilians leave, and not the resistance fighters, who stay around to get killed?

3. I don't know about you... |
|
...but getting my home demolished and burned would hurt pretty bad.
Nope. I don't think I'd like that one bit.

4. The report I read, of one of the first bombings |
|
last week said that the US went to this house, arrested 6 insurgents, had the other residents pack up personal belongings and leave. Then the home was bombed.
It's just as Israel does after a suicide bomb- they destroy the famliy's home to discourage others. We've seen how well that works.
It's for effect but I don't know how anyone can think, after "shock and awe" didn't do it, that this will be an effective tack.
