I've been listening to Limbaugh this week just to see what he sounds like---anybody else agree with me that he sounds fried? I mean, he doesn't seem to be able to keep his voice from getting into shreakingly high pitches, he's using bizarre new terms ("Yip yip yip yip yahoo"); he sounds like he's bathed in flop sweat, non-stop. I think the guy is history......

7. Eh - I don't think Rush is going anywhere soon........

I actually listen to his show for several reasons:

1) When I get to my office in the morning, I turn my radio on to the local news station. He comes on at 11:00, and frankly, I'm too lazy to get up and switch the stations. Mostly he's just background nattering noise, though sometimes, I actually listen.

2) I feel like it helps keep me intellectually honest to hear "the other side."

3) I'm a masochist.

I think the only reason he'll be booted off the air is if he has to do jail time, and I wouldn't bet money on that possibility at this point.

I started a part-time job a couple of months ago and the idiot in the cubicle behind mine listens to the moron every day.

I worked in radio for some years (still do) and got so sick him and his name I have not tuned in for my own pleasure in a long long time. The Rush free airwaves would be a wonderful enticement to come back to a medium that, at heart, I love.
