What do Dems have to lose by filibustering both bill? |
|
We are dead in the water anyway according to all the pundits. So why not take a principled stand...if we are going down, go down for something. It didn't hurt the Repugs when they voted against Clinton's budget that gave us the surpluses and boom years. In fact, they gained. So why not try something different for a change. Be bold, be brave! The very worst that can happen is to lose a seat in Congress. Things are going to get so bad in the next few years, it will be clear that the Repugs are to blame. If the Dems believe the bills (energy and medicare)are so bad then there is no reason not to filibuster. Look what supporting Bush and the Iraqi invasion has gotten Dems...NADA!!!
