Clark WILL Attend NH Debate!
Yea! This is exciting news; happy he's gonna do it after all. Sorry if this is a dupe - from dailykos:

Clark Reschedules New York Fund-Raiser
by AKTup
Wed Nov 19th, 2003 at 22:38:30 UTC

CONCORD, N.H. - Wesley Clark has rescheduled a fund-raiser to participate in a Democratic presidential debate in New Hampshire next month.
Clark said last week he could not change his schedule and would attend the fund-raiser in New York, where he is expected to raise $1.5 million. But the fund-raiser has been switched to Dec. 10, the day after the debate in Manchester, N.H.

"Our New York supporters wanted to do everything they could to support General Clark and make sure he could attend the debate," Clark spokesman Bill Buck said Wednesday.

1. Wise move
I didn't understand why he would pick a fund raiser over a debate. Good for him!

This is the second time this fund-raiser had to be changed, both times because the DNC changed the debate date. One would think that the DNC could do more to get their act together. Oh right_this is the DNC we're talking about.

Not a strawman. He said there was a schedule conflict. There was. They fixed the conflict. End of story. And did Clark bitch or even publicize the fact that the DNC had already changed the schedule previously, causing him to reschedule once before? No.

You'll bitch if he doesn't attend the debate, you'll bitch if he does. Extremists bore me.

62. What will it take to get this thru your head
The man has just started his campaign. Unlike Dean he has been around 1 year. The bigger question is why does Dean keep flip flopping on issues of impotance such as spending caps. In particular spending caps in NH against felloe Dems. His little story about needing everything to beat Bush holds no water at all when he is going against fellow Dems. knowing Dean they we know now, he will have a lil flip flop story for this very soon.

68. What "wisdom" are you questioning?
I for one felt, that since it was the shifting of the debate date at the last second which created Clark's conflict, that he was right to follow through on his committment to the previously scheduled major fund raiser IF it could not moved intact to another date at this late stage. As soon as the debate date was changed Clark said he would look into rescheduling his fund raiser if that were possible. That's not easy to do at that level in Manhatten on short notice. He pulled it off, better for him. There is nothing to apologize about. If Clark had completely cancelled the fund raiser to do the debate, then I might have some egg on my face. This is a non issue.

Clark will come in second in NH, with Kerry a distant third, or perhaps fourth. Kerry's numbers are going South as Clark is rebounding from the loss he suffered after his less than spectacular start.

While Dean is and remains my first choice, I have warmed up to Clark since the Rock the Vote debate. I felt that Clark answered a lot of the questions and concerns I had about him during his Meet the Press appearance last Sunday.

I am at that point in time in which I am seriously considering other candidates to support if Dean were to falter or get killed in a plane crash.

I don't want any of the IWR enablers to win the nomination.

This definately was a decision that was made with INTEGRITY. Power to the people and thank you New Yorkers for rescheduling your fundraiser. I will be donating to try and help out. Mind you the first time I ever donated was here to the underground. Oh by the way I have to be honest (truth and fairness) I am an ex-republican Hated what happened to John McCain in sc. I believe the General made mention in his town meeting in NH that there will be hundreds of thousands of us that will be doing the same thing. We are appalled at what has happened to our country.
See my sig below. The general also said " WERE TAKING BACK OUR FLAG. WERE MOVING OUT."
