4. Don't know what time.
But I have a feeling it's being shut off. The picture is not changing.
Suppose to change every 5 seconds. It's been the same for 5 minutes now.

10. That's where the march ends
so the people there are only the ones waiting rather than marching.

Sky report 60 000 at the start so far.

6. Incredible security lapse at Trafalgar Square
I was looking at the Trafalgar Square web cam images when I noticed the most unbelieveable security lapse right there in the midst of the crowd. Right there in the middle of the square it's... oh dear sweet Jesus... there's a huge lion! Lions are not indigenous to England, so someone had to actually place the ferocious beast there... the CIA probably.

Thank God the animal appears to be resting right now (unless he's already eaten somebody!), but if there are any DUers in London right now, please for the love of humanity call the animal control department before someone gets mauled!!

If by "symbolic for Georgie's future" you mean that he's going to go to the NY Public Library and read a book, then you are sadly quite wrong.

This morning CNN said the statue was going to be toppled in the afternoon. So it's a five-hour difference. Should be soon.

26. UK Indy media report
<15.36>: Front of the march currently at Westminster Bridge. BBC say police estimate 50,000 people. Sky TV says 60,000 and still people arriving in number at Malet St.

<15.25>: Huge march going over Waterloo bridge now, having started from Malet Street around 2pm. Our reporter is near Lancaster Place. The march is cheerful, colourful, noisy and chilled. There are riot horses at all side streets to enforce the agreed route.

<14.54>: Reports of sixth form students walking out to join demo. 200 students from Shoreditch have ignored warnings of disciplinary action, including arbitrary expulsion if arrested.
