THOUSANDS of cheering supporters turned out to welcome George W Bush yesterday as he began his state visit amid the tightest security operation London has ever seen.

Fears that the day would be disrupted by protesters proved unfounded. Just a handful booed and held up anti-war banners as Mr Bush’s motorcade left the palace and headed down the Mall.

Now that's wierd. All the other news reports list 50,000 to 100,000 protestors.

1. The press in Europe
is known to be more partisan than in the states. Papers can take ideological stances like that without being lambasted for media bias. However, we in America are hypothetically supposed to be "fair and balanced". It is a total front.
