I thought I'd never think George Will was right
http://www.msnbc.com/news/994180.asp

Usually he's dumb as a fencepost, but in this column he's got a point.

2. Will has been
At least a little bit more sane than a lot of the other far right columnists out there. He even called on the White House to admit they were wrong on WMD a while back.

This is at least his second pro-Dean column - he had one earlier this year that basically said that if Dean is half as smart as he thinks he is <meaning half as smart as Howard Dean, not Will>, he could spell a lot of trouble for Bush.

7. It's anti-Dean
Will will never back a Democrat. Bush is a radical fascist war-monger and has nothing to do with conservative principles, but the right doesn't care. The right is obsessed with non-white people "taking over" and the culture wars. The demographics show that unless this nation continues down the road to fascism, that the Republicans are through (in their current form) in about 10 years. They know this too, so the Republicans are determined to either convert the non-whites to their way of thinking through religion, or win elections through Black Box Voting and Fox News propaganda.

3. Will should get a day job.
No matter what happens, Gov. Dean is NOT going to split from the Dems and run as an independent or a third-party candidate, splitting the ABBA vote and propelling Dubya into a second term.

Even suggesting that, as Will does at the end of his piece, does nothing but attempt to raise doubts among Dems about Dean's sincerity and commitment.

Will is a whore.

His point, in this column, is to try and split the Democratic party.

Apparently he is still one of those right wing pundits who thinks there's no fault to find with the "convenient Christian" in the Oval Office. He should check his medications.

4. Will is suggesting that Dean will go third party if he doesn't get
the nomination (and Gephardt does). Will is spreading agitprop. I'm voting for the nominee regardless of who it is, and working for the nominee walking my precinct, whoever it is (except maybe Lieberman but that is looking increasingly less likely). I don't think Dean would go the third party route, and I don't think the anti-Bush crowd will go for it. Bush can no longer portray himself as a moderate Republican and will have to trade that 2000 lie for the advantage of incumbancy.

6. Dean said flat out at the AARP debate
that he will support WHOEVER is the Dem nominee.

How much clearer can it be than that ?
