How the Democratic Party can win and make this World a Better Place.
We all want a Better World.. for all of us. Least wise, thats what we say we want.

The question begs: How?

Do the NFL thing, Look at the Pubs Past "games". Learn of their tatics and trends. Counter.

The Pub Party has given us Dems much ammo but we fail to use it properly and thus lose the skirmish/battle. Their choice of Bush is a disaster but they still maintain a level of loyalty and perserverance. They are conniving and devious.

We keep hoping to get a Magic Bullet, the perfect candidate. And this is where the Pubs have us. There is no perfect candidate. We just have to choose the best amomg our group and do our best to elect that person.

What we can do is to analyze what the Pubs have done successfully.

They have made NUMBERS very important. Meaning hot issues like abortion and gay marriages are brought to the forefront knowing the poll numbers support their position. They then pound this into the public knowing they got an edge.

Another thing they understand is IMAGE. Gore and Joe lost because of their IMAGE, whether true or not, don't matter, its the Image of being soft, weak, nerdy, geeky, etc compared to the Bush and Cheney, macho, cowboy, etc. Its all about the IMAGE/PERCEPTION. What we Dems can do?? Expose this shit for what it truely is, Image building, like in Photo Ops. And we have been doing this but somehow, the word has not yet reached Joe Six Pack. Or Perhaps, we have not yet articulated in such a manner Joe and brethern could listen comprehend.

And thirdly, we have our work cut out but its not impossible. We need to UNITE with a purpose, not with a "candidate". That will come later. We have to create an umbrella to counter theirs. Our Umbrella gatta be larger than theirs.

Come, we roll up our sleeves

4. It's language and the big lie more likely
Meaning hot issues like abortion and gay marriages are brought to the forefront knowing the poll numbers support their position. They then pound this into the public knowing they got an edge.

When the public is polled on this honestly without code language, they generally come out pro-choice. Even here in Missouri.
For example, when the question is something like
"I believe a woman should be able to decide what she should do about a pregnancy without government interference"
with a likert (sp?) scale Agre..... disagree) rating the majority typically comes out prochoice.
However, when the questions are coded in RW speak, I am pro life vs pro choice, the results are a little different.
THAT'S how they get their numbers.
Gay Marriage will be approached the same way. "I support the right of Gay couples to marry" will trigger a response that includes imagry related to religion. "I support the right of Gay couples to have the same legal benefits as married heterosexual couples" should get more accurate responses.
The starting point is language.

5. The challenge is to simplify the message to the point of understanding.
Then to make the message EXCITING and FUN.

7. an image created by the repubs
of the Democrats is that, we're out to take away 'everything' from them. when the reality is, 1) we never had it to begin with and 2) the reverse is of this is true. The repubs deal in fear so the image they created of democrats has worked.

and the repubs are harpies. listen to `em and the same stuff keeps coming out of their mouths. it doesn't matter what the subject or issue is, their responses are basically the same.

8. Pub Whiners are whats being tossed at us. If they can't get the floor
to talk, dominate the discussion, they raise their voice and fucking whine.
They dominate not by reason but by persistance. Its the spoiled kid on the block.
