Clark......First in Virginia
First in Virginia

<snip>General Wesley Clark was the last candidate to enter the presidential race, but the first candidate to submit the required petitions to appear on the Virginia primary ballot. This week, a group of supporters delivered more signatures than the 10,000 required by state law. Virginia's primary is February 10. <snip>

3. I'm sure you meant to type
something like "Good work, General", or "Good luck, Wes". It just came out wrong. :eyes:

Why is it IMPOSSIBLE for even the most moderately pro-Clark news to be immediately discounted by a Dean supporter?

She listed him as her #2 in the ranking of the candidates ( Go Figure! )
. That was great for Clarks folks to get up the sigs needed. It is all getting better very fast for Clark.

12. i assume Clark beat him to the punch
so they rounded up more to deflect from the fact that Clark brought in the required signatures first.

7. Clark, Dean qualify for Virginia primary ballot
Edited on Thu Nov-20-03 08:32 PM by w4rma
By the Associated Press
Published November 18, 2003

RICHMOND, Va. -- Retired Army Gen. Wesley Clark and former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean on Tuesday became the first Democratic candidates to get their names on the ballot for Virginia's presidential primary.

Clark was the first to file the required 10,000 signatures with the Virginia State Board of Elections.

Six hours later, Dean's campaign rushed nearly 20,000 signatures to the state board, which stayed open late to accommodate it.

Clark, who entered the race two months ago, was the last to join the primary contenders in Virginia. Volunteers collected 10,911 signatures on his behalf, said Marjorie Clark of Chesterfield, the 7th District Democratic chairwoman.

flock to pro-Clark threads to preach about Clark's opportunism, insincerity, PNAC/Republican ties, and wholehearted support of death and destruction?

Yeah. Those guys really make me crazy about Dean too.

The endless snide remarks and downright nastiness of "some" Dean supporters make it tough.

I just wish they were as open minded about Clark as I am about Dean.

VA asks for a minimum # from each county/district. Taking gerrymandering into account, some sigs are usually unusable so you have to really overshoot. I think that's why the Dean filing was so large.

But First! That's great :hi:
