last time I saw the baited hook, it was about a cheney "expose"
which exposed nothing new, except, perhaps, the CIA's failure to find nuclear facilities in Iraq, ca 1991, leading to Cheney's distrust of normal intel channels, and leading to the OSP.
the rest of the show was a paean to Cheney's legendary secretiveness, power-behind-the-scenes, the fearful unwillingness of just about anyone to cross him.
Even Richard Clarke didn't talk about how Cheney ignored all the warnings of terrorists (read Osama), in particular Hart/Rudman, as well as Clarke's own warnings, along with those of Sandy Berger. No mention at all of how Condi was apprised of the myriad threats, then lied about her notification (I know....not Cheney, but the junta specifically told outgoing admin that HE'd take care of the terror situation, so they ignored H/R, other warnings, and never dealt with them.......too busy with payback for the energy sector)
that show may have been news to those who have been paying little or no attention to what's really been happening, but I found that Nightline a huge disappointment.
and I'll never forget how unctuously sycophantic Koppel was with B* during that visit to his pigfarm during the selection campaign.
combine that with his close friendship to the monster Kissinger, and I'll never take much credence in what he has to offer.
the one good show I can recall was the night Chris Bury had all those Republican CIA agents on, discussing Wilson/Plame. not Koppel--Bury.
