Proud to be an American: Part 2
If tomorrow all the things were gone
I'd known for all my life
Like my freedom and security
Replaced with doubt and strife
I'd curse the fickle fates
To be living here today
'Cause the flag once stood for freedom
But they're taking that away....

And I'm proud to be an American
Where at least I once was free
I apologize to those who died
To win that right for me
And I'll sadly lie down, next to you
And accept it here today
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
God help the USA

---------------------------------------------

With all due respect to Lee Greenwood

3. I'd say none was intended...
Actually I think it rather hits the nail on the head. Wish I had seen Part I. Someone post a link?

4. sorry
Part one was the original song. I don't know the rest of it.

I was in the army when that song came out. Had the "honor" of serving in Desert Storm from New Year's Day 1991 until the beginning of May. I always wanted to punch something whenever I heard it.
