So tell me about Senator Jim Jeffords
Since jumping ship I haven't followed much of what Jeffords has done with regard to helping the Dems on key votes, he was touted as being very moderate as a Republican and the Republicans trashed his jump pretty heavily was his move a big help to the Dems?

1. You didn't know? Jeffords is an idiot
Dean supporter. He might as well have never changed affiliation.

6. It's the popular mantra here
I've finally given in! All Dean supporters are either idiots, losers, brainwashed, coerced, paid, or closet republicans.

Didn't you get the memo?

11. Whoo-hoo!
It's official. I'm an idiot. Worse, I'm a republican. I've been voting democrat all my life just to fool you. I thought I had you fooled, but you knew me for what I was the entire time. A mouth-breathing, freeper, democrat-wannabe idiot.

How did I know that supporting a democrat would be my downfall? I guess I'll just go on over to freerepublic where I belong.

Thanks for helping me see the light!

15. Well, for one, I am offended
Edited on Fri Nov-21-03 12:11 PM by wysimdnwyg
I am no idiot, I don't consider myself a loser, I'm certainly not brainwashed or coerced, I make no money whatsoever for my affiliation and I'm so far from being a repug as to cause firey arguments both with family and friends.

Perhaps you have bought into the flow of hate and jealousy that some followers of other candidates wish to put forth. But to classify those of us who back Dean as any of those things is rude and uncalled-for.

On edit: OK, now I'm seeing the light. This was a joke. Sorry if I got a bit upset. I'm just tired of the hate. (And at work, there's a lot, what with all the repugs.)

26. Bottom line, if Dean isn't electable than no Democrat is
Because I have no idea how any other Democrat, including Wesley Clark, is better than Dean in the electability department. They all poll about the same. One poll will show Clark doing better, another will show Dean. That means they are probably doing the same.

So someone explain to me how Dean is not electable where others are.

I'm totally sold. After all this time, I'm finally convinced that Dean is a monster and everyone who supports him is a traitor to liberal ideals. I'm going to post fifty times a day to get that point across to all of you mindless twerps who are dumb enough to support that indian hating, corporate friendly whacko.

Or something...

Like he's the Anti-Christ?

Please tell me...is Governor Dean the agent of Satan?

We need to know this stuff.

22. That's exactly right
Dean iss the agent of satan. You got it just right. The information came down the pike just recently.

It's so important that we get the word out ASAP!

It gets worse. Back in 1989, Dean was seen drinking a can of New Coke, and just last week, he was seen with COKE CLASSIC!

Talk about your flip flop artists.

17. This is all very funny, but
It doesn't answer the question about Jeffords.

Frankly, I don't have an answer. Except that I occasionally get fund raising letters from Jeffords asking me to support people who appear to be very good. Howard Dean was one. Reid from Nevada was another.

I'm hoping the other New England Republicans will follow suit and either become dems or independents. New Englanders in general are a different breed. They're Republican by tradition, but they don't march in lockstep to anyone's drummer. I wouldn't mind having Chaffee, Collins, and Snowe in our camp.

of Hep's arguments. They reveal deep understanding of the issues. It's the type of analyses that keep America going! Keep up the good work Hep, you are conveying your message very effectively. You just convinced me that there is something good about Dean, just because you think he's an idiot. -CV

21. he is my senator
and i have almost always voted for him even when he was a republican...he was a republican before the rabid right wing hijacked that party and his decision to leave that party was a very difficult one for him to make..he truly is a moderate but fiscally conservative..represents very well the people of vermont..we are very proud of his courage and i can't see him losing his position any time soon....and for all those who thought his leaving the party was a stunt to get face time on the tv could not have been more wrong..jeffords happens to be one of those senators you rarely see because he does not like that spotlight...a bit refreshing for someone in his position
