Bush's "popularity" with the majority of Iraqis - a thought |
|
A thought occurred to me earlier today.
The Bush misAdministration keeps harping the point that all of the attacks on the US forces are due to a very tiny group of people who want to see Hussein return to power. Also, those are being aided by outside sources in the quest to "kill American soldiers".
What struck me was that a lot of people believe that most of the middle east couldn't be bombed "back to the stone age" because "that would be an improvement". Ergo, technology would not be too great there. (we know otherwise).
Plus, you have the "translation" issues of the American information to Iraqis' language used. Some things can get lost in the trans.
Also, a lot of the names within this misAdministration are the same names used in the previous Bush administration, just a few job titles had been shuffled around.
Plus, since the technology isn't so great (according to the freepertypes and dittododos), these people probably don't realize that they are dealing with a Bush mark 2, not the original Bush.
Here's the kicker.
Bush I promised to back the uprisings of the Iraqi common people against their dictator. We see now (according to frs and dits) that there are mass graves of all the people who opposed Saddam that dared to open their mouths.
So now you have Bush, again (according to what the mindframe of the Iraqis probably have) promising a bunch of happiness once they back Bush in ousting Saddam.
Bush, in their mind, will not back them up. Saddam will still win in the end, and they will be slaughtered yet again, for supporting an uprising.
Faced with history, wouldn't you be taking potshots at the representations of the big-ass liar?
Unfortunately, if we win the WH, we will have to clean up after Junior's mess.
