Emergency in Miami Friday- Protesters Gassed and Shot with Rubber Bullets

There is a tear in our civil armour in Miami. Local officials have passed an ordinance days before the protests there which allows the police to agressively assault congregations of 5 or more. there have been over 160 arrests. There are at least 30 still in jail with bail as high as $10,000 each, amounting to a $1000.00 sanction for arrestees on trumped up charges if they expect to be released before trial. Lawyers are needed there now! Donations or a means to raise donations are also needed.

Check out the site and tune in to Resistance Radio for live updates of the melee there. Another percussion bomb was just reported to have gone off near Biscayne ave. There was an active protest today with about 60 people at the Miami Herald office for their smear of the protesters as "anarchists against the police".
