any idiot could see that they're not equipped with any defensive

I mean, Geez...the planes look like the plane that "Sky King" used to fly....kinda like a twin engine piper cub...

big time. There is some huge CYA going on over this. These guys are going to get the boot for bucking the chain of command when what they are trying to do is save the LIVES of the f'k chain of command.

For those of you who didn't hear about this, these reservists fly VIPs around the war zone in a barely modified Beech-Craft prop plane. It is very vunerable to the kind of surface to air fire that is occuring right now. So they are trying to prevent a disaster that is just waiting to happen. For their trouble, they are probably going to get a dishonorable discharge.
