where he said another WMD attack could cause the unraveling of our Constitution...then he had Col. Allard on who tried to downplay the whole thing by questioning Franks' integrity. Hmmm, should we listen to a colonel, or a general?

Do I agree with Franks on everything? Not hardly.

Is he the fascist the NewsMax EXCERPT, repeat EXCERPT, makes him out to be? No. It's a long, comprehensive interview that raises very sophisticated points about controversial issues.

There is a reason why they chose a numbskull right-wing Bush-idolator like Allard to respond to Franks's comments.

Point One: Tommy Franks LOVES dissent. He unequivocably rejected the idea of dissent as being un-patriotic. He would not, I presume, agree with more than five percent of the opinions posted on this board but he wouldn't claim the other 95% is un-patriotic.
