Senate in Session 10AM in attempt to Ram Drug Bill Down Our Throats!
Contact your Senators now and tell them that it is time for the Democrats to stand up against this egregious giveaway to the pharmaceutical and managed care companies--or forever face irrelevancy.

Daschle says that he is strongly against this bill, but he will NOT support a filibuster. Why the hell not? No matter if the Democratic caucus is divided on this issue, Daschle is the Democratic leader. Is it wrong to expect leadership from him? I think not!

1. If you don't support a filibuster, you support the bill IMHO.

5. Tom Daschle
is one of the most worthless piles of cat shit in the entire caucus. I will throw a party the day he is out of office and I sincerely hope the GOP unseats him next year. May as well have a real Republican.

This is just like the tax cuts for the wealthy, the Iraq resolution, everything else that Bush wants. The dems are so besotted with special interest (read Big Pharma and Big Insurance) money they won't stand against the Little Dictator.

They are insuring the re-selection of Bush by their refusal to fight this horrible bill. I think the train has left the station, carrying our democratic values with it to an undisclosed location, never to be heard from again.

It's Heil President Bush, Heil Defacto Speaker DeLay and Heil Just Like Jesus, Catkiller Frist for 4 more years of the destruction of the American dream and the installation of a dictatorial plutocracy, of, by and for the wealthy and religiously insane.

10. Dick Durbin
is laying all of the points out excellently.

12. Olympia Snowe speaking in favor
If moderate Repubs like Snowe have gone over to the dark side, it looks pretty dismal. Let the backlash begin.

13. watching and listening to the whore Snowe
Edited on Sat Nov-22-03 12:55 PM by Marianne
she is looking old and sounding old haggish and rehearsed--she is praising Bush to the sky--cheap whore--out to make a good sound bite--and saying nothing--she is really not too bright or intelligent but survives on some sort of admiration for the extinct. I expect Collins to ditto her sister in whoredom.

Durbin was excellent. Robert Byrd--well the 86 year old statesman said that he will be looking forward to running in 2006, and then went through the bible citing all the characters who live to be over one hundred years of age.

Snowe is trying hard--she is old stuff already--we need new blood in Maine. If Pingree would have defeated Collins, I know for certain she would not be touting Bush as a saviour and kissing his boots, his ass and his balls like Snow is.

It does not look good for this bill to be defeated. How very sad--this country is corrupt and broken--with whores like Snowe unconcerned and touting the corporitism line--all a bunch of corrupt individuals under the thumb of a fascist maniac, who apparently, cannot be stopped by anyone. Daschle can join Snowe in the bathroom and kiss Bush's balls--and then praise the experience to the public

14. Wouldn't it be nice
if our elected officials actually represented the will of the people?
Far as I can tell, seniors most affected by this bill are overwhelmingly against it. And yet it seems destined to become law.
How f%@*ed up is that?

15. Snowe says
"This will be a transformational moment in history and there will be no going back." Truer words were never spoken.

Notice not one of the Repugs is addressing the BILLIONS of dollars pharma companies will make and the multi-million dollar salaries of HMO executives.

17. Frankly
Democratic socialism is looking better and better to me every day. I have become totally disenchanted with capitalism, especially when it is unrestrained and subsidized as it is today.

Never thought I would wind up on this end of the spectrum, but let's just say that I've had a great awakening in the past few years.
