HeadsUp--Senators debating Medicare right now |

The Senate is debating the Medicare Bill with a Big sign asking eht Publi to call ARRP. Senator Durbing produced a poll which reflects that over 60% percent of AARP Members now oppose the bill and only 16 % accept it. (Saturday Noon)

The only other piece of legislation that went as quickly was the regulation on Mutual Funds. I found it odd that the legislature voted on the Mutual Fund issue before the public even knew it was a real problem. Tells you that there are things happening behind closed doors, or in committee, that the media is keeping mum about. Not a good process, and one that is going to cause problems down the road because it appears that everything is going to be shoved down our throats this last year since they know Bush is a lame duck president.

this in the house? Dems = Carson, Hill Visclosky; Reps = Burton, Hostettler.
So much for the "red states have to vote for this" OR "pharma states have to vote for this". As more than half of our Eli Lilly tied reps voted AGAINST this. (so who voted for it - Count Chocola; Steve "we should use a tactical nuke in Afghanistan" Buyer; Souder and Pence.
