Three Hours of Arm-Twisting in the House?!
Medicare Bill: NPR reported that by the end of the standard time allotted for voting on a bill, looks like the Nays had it. But the Repugs extended voting time for THREE HOURS until the bill got passed.

The house was beginning to sound like the British parlaiment, with plenty of boo-ing from the Left side. Okay, so that usually doesn't happen in our "civilized" house chamber... I don't know what else our Dems can do. It's going to take some pissed-off conservatives - who actually listen to their constituents - to tip the scales.

Any suggestions on who we should be calling? I know one rep from Idaho & one from Arizona changed their votes in the three hour delay (no pun intended). Forgot their names, but if anybody knows, please share... We need to make sure these guys will regret their votes for years to come. We should also praise the Republicans who broke ranks to do the right thing.

How's the one-party system working out for you?

4. As a Californian, I'm ashame of Rorhbacher
but he's from O.C. but it figures. I'm just glad Kennedy and Kerry are going to fillibuster this sucker in the Senate. (Great political move by Kerry -- he's standing up to Bush where it counts!)
