I missed this part of the story. Everyone needs to write a letter to every local newspaper in their state to make sure people understand what happened last night. That's more important than this bill even. This isn't democracy. I'm looking for a resource on the last longest open vote, does anybody have it?

1. crime bill

isn't it lovely how this absolute mockery of democracy is going nearly completely un-reported? after the house adjourned saturday morning, c-span said the last vote to be held open for a length of time was the 1994 crime bill. i believe it was just over 70 minutes.
