Diebold Memos Now on House Web Site (Kucinich) |
|
"Dennis Kucinich has outfoxed Diebold by putting some of some of the more egregious Diebold memos up on his part of the House of Representative web site, http://www.house.gov/kucinich/issues/voting.htm. Let's see Diebold serve the House with a DMCA letter."http://www.onlamp.com/pub/wlg/3994Once again, why can't we all get behind this man?

1. AWESOME!! That's why Dennis is my #2. He's got some tricks |
|
up his sleeves. I really like him for that. He doesn't display his hands in public. You just get the message.

6. well hopefully you will change that to #1 soon :) |

Seriously if everyone who liked what he is doing would support him in the primaries we'd be able to generate a movement that couldn't be ignored anymore.

I would love to see him in the White House. He is the one dissenting voice who knows what the average American wants.

He's not doing all that well, or perhaps you hadn't noticed?

7. probably because average Americans don't know who he is... |
|
or what he stands for. It's kind of hard for people to form an opinion when you're virtually ignored by the media (who's duty is to inform I must add)

I love what Kucinich stands for. The only problem I see is that he has no clear cut plan for getting his ideals through Congress or dissolving any future Neocon resentment or disenfranchisement. He would end up becoming a liberal version of Bush and just as hated by the right. What would end up happening is that another Jimmy Carter would get into office, have no clear agenda for getting his vision through Congress, and would create a topsy-turvy political climate that becomes increasingly destabilized.
If we truly want to move the country closer to Kucinich's area of the political spectrum, we have to move the country there gradually, starting by moving towards the center again, and through getting a buy-in by the neo-cons on liberal issues, which means an open bi-partisan dialogue. Kucinich's strategy is to not worry about the means and just assume that everyone agrees with the ends. Sorry, but the real world doesn't work that way. We need a centrist President right now. Maybe after his second term, we can have a more liberal President like Kucinich. Doesn't mean that I don't love what he does as a Representative.

3. This Kucinich guy keeps doing everything right |

Whenever I read about him, I'm reminded of what it means to be a Democrat. Why isn't he our frontrunner? Instead of just lip service, Kucinich has backed his beliefs with action. Amazing isn't it?

I would guess 90% of the reason is that the media is purposefully ignoring him.
The rest is misinformation that easily spreads because of his lack of exposure.

9. ALL the network and cable commentators and right wing strategists are |
|
ridiculing and making fun of the Democratic candidates. They are going to have a field day with him for a multitude of reasons. He's not married. His hair is perfect fodder for those right wing talking heads and columnists who went to war over Gore's shirts and colors. His motives and positions are perfect for innuendo, conjecture, fear mongering, ridicule, jokes, and deceitful and lying interpretations.
We are a nation filled with foul hypocrites - just like the USSR was.

13. I have. This sealed the deal for me. |
|
Of course, I have a personal bias, since Diebold busted my ass for posting some of their files.
Which reminds me:
FUCK YOU, DIEBOLD! TRY TO SHUT HIM DOWN!

works for a government for the people... instead of big business. He also cares about democracy...as this shows. He is therefore unelectable.... and it disgusts me.

They just want people to believe he's unelectable.

18. I am sick of that being thrown at us |
|
As I have been saying as of late, some look at things as they are and ask why, others look at what could be and say why not, that means a lot me personally. I dont mean any offense to pragamatic people but here's this, I would rather be an idealist with a reason than a pragamatic just to pragamtic. Sorry pragmatists, I really am, I respect your decision but I could never do it myself.
