From TPM: Imagine this line in WashPost editorial, re. Soros....
Mr. Soros, who spent $5 billion to promote democracy around the world and $18 million to spur campaign finance reform in this country, told The Post's Laura Blumenfeld that defeating Mr. Bush is "the central focus of my life." True, there is a difference between a check motivated by an ideological worldview and one prompted by economic self-interest. But such outsize voices, on the left or right, pose dangers to a democratic system: No one wants one deep-pocketed person picking the next president. FOR DEMOCRATS THRILLED WITH THE SOROS MILLIONS, IMAGINE CONSERVATIVE FINANCIER RICHARD MELLON SCAIFE OPENING HIS BANK ACCOUNT ON BEHALF OF MR. BUSH.

1. Oh please
excuse me but Mr. R. M. Scaife is very busy right here in Palm Beach County with his checkbook on behalf of Mr. "they hate our freedom" Bushkissmyassifyoudon'tlikeit! He is working very hard to get Randi Rhodes of the air. He works hand in hand with his best buddy Rush Lardass (who lost sooooooo much weight - (all on his own) except the help he got from Rx drugs.

3. I don't trust Soros anymore than I do Scaife
Soros has his own agenda and it's not mine. If we can complain about Scaife pouring his millions into the Republican party we can hardly expect different treatment. Of course, the media never talked about Scaife but does talk about Soros...

I hope it happens more and more, so republicans work for clean election too.

2. Scaife did
Scaife was behind 100% of the get Clinton crap. Read David Brock, Blinded by the Right, if you don't believe it. The difference is Soros is trying to get Bush removed from power through the correct method. Elections.

This is such utter BS, I can't believe it!

4. I don't have to imagine Scaife opening his bank account
on behalf of Bush. It happened.
