1. What a bunch of little Hitlers
Edited on Sun Nov-23-03 07:12 PM by bluestateguy
Hitler would be proud of these kinds of attitudes:

To hell with them. Kill them all and let allah sort 'em out.

I suggest that Bush make a demonstrable point to Muslims and MId East Bathists. Test a Moab on Tikrit. If Syria, Iran, Egypt, or France complain, test one on them too.

Round them up, castrate them, feed their genitals to pigs, and hang them in the public square by their arms until they bleed to death. Leave the corpses in place. Bush should go on television and tell every religion of piss Muslim that this is just a taste of what we will do. For every U.S. soldier killed, we will execute 10 Muslims in the same fashion. These animals understanding nothing but violence. Give it to them.

17. words will probably fail to convey my disgust
1. At the inbred fraud who sent those Americans to die halfway around the world all in the name of corporate greed.

2. At the senseless violence being committed there and in Afghanistan daily.

3. At these drooling fascists who believe that kind of retaliatory violence would have any effect other than to make things worse.

It sucks being the bad guys in a war, but that's what the Bush GOPNAC Cabal have made of us--invading, conquering occupiers.

what creeps...what sorry excuses for human beings.

4. The difference between DU and FR reactions
Edited on Sun Nov-23-03 07:16 PM by eileen_d
Both DUers and FReepers are angry and sad about this news.

But overwhelmingly the FReepers are calling for more killing as a solution. DUers want to put a stop to it. Pretty simple.

"Strengthen our resolve" was a frequently used phrase. Well, I feel strengthened in my resolve -- specifically in my belief that this war was WRONG. Wrong for the U.S. military, wrong for the Iraqi people.

7. here's a lovely one.
It looks more and more that the troops are sitting ducks.

For stateside morale, we need some news off big retaliations of such outrage as this.

8. Quagmire
"Iraqi teenagers dragged the bloody bodies of two American soldiers from a wrecked vehicle and pummeled them with concrete blocks Sunday, witnesses said, describing a burst of savagery in a city once safe for Americans. Another soldier was killed by a bomb and a U.S.-allied police chief was assassinated"

This is all Bush's fault. .

12. Somebody on FR posted a horrifying link
Somebody posted a horrifying link on that thread, which I will not link here, of a videotaped decapitation of a soldier. Had I known this is what it was, I would not have clicked on it. It is MORE disturbing than the Daniel Pearl video. Although, another poster later claimed that this was of a Chechian executing a Russian soldier. The Freeper wanted to use this link, I guess, to rally support for more killing in Iraq. Makes lot of sense. I'm shaking right now, this video was so horrifying.

18. There are the Repubs over there (mostly sick) and there
are true conservatives who are almost as mad at Bush as I am. There is nothing "conservative" about this junta. Anyone wiht libertarian leanings should be upset.

19. some are good people who have been misled
Others are blood-thirsty extremists who should be publicly linked to to Bush.

But those who allow themselves to be manipulated by those who manipulate deserve what they get...

I don't have much sympathy at this point...

22. Locking.
Rules to start discussion threads in the General Discussion forum.

1. The subject line of a discussion thread must accurately reflect the actual content of the message.

2. The subject line of a discussion thread and the entire text of the message which starts the thread may not include profanity, excessive capitalization, or excessive punctuation. Inflammatory rhetoric should also be avoided.

3. If you post an article or other published content which is from a conservative source or which expresses a traditionally conservative viewpoint, you must state your opinion about the piece and/or the issues it raises.

4. If you wish to start a vanity thread (ie: a discussion thread in which the sole purpose is to share your personal opinion) you must state your opinion in a non-inflammatory manner which respects differences in opinion and facilitates actual discussion.

5. You may not start a new discussion thread in order to continue a current or recent flame war from another thread. The moderators have the authority to lock threads in order to contain flaming on a particular topic to only one thread at a time.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,

24. The worst one...
Creeps on DU are loving this day. They are waiting for us to blame Bush for this. They can shove that idea where the sun don't shine!

No, no we're not. We know they'll never blame Bush for anything. George W. Bush could commit incest with his daughters on national television and the freepers would love him even more.

I hate this day. There are two American soldiers from the 101st Airborne who are now dead in one of the most vicious attacks I ever heard of. You know where these men should be? At Fort Campbell getting their PT uniforms ready for a nice relaxing four-mile-in-36-minutes run like every Screaming Eagle must do once every two weeks.

This war never should have happened. The Freepers will never blame Bush for starting this unnecessary war, but I will.

Think I'll go downstairs now and smoke a good cigar in honor of those men.
