Feinstein votes for the Repub medicare bill
She's an embarassment to California.

http://apnews.myway.com/article/20031124/D7V0KQMG0.html

Even so, the roster of declared Democratic supporters for the bill grew to nine, when Sens. Dianne Feinstein of California and Ron Wyden of Oregon announced their intentions to vote for it. In less-than-glowing assessments, both ascribed a series of benefits and shortcomings to the bill, and Wyden said his decision was "a very, very tough call."

2. If it passes with Democratic support, then Nader may be right
about the Democrats currently in congress. Feinstein is a *bush
enabler clear and simple.

4. It wasn't a tough call for either of them. They don't have to live with
the consequences of their decision like the rest of us.
The only call was how long to hold out to look less like
a bought-and-paid-for shill than they both did. The
bastards. May they rot.

6. Does anyone know..
who the other 7 democrats that are voting for this abomination are?

The only thing I can think of is writing to them and voicing your displeasure.

8. What's the point
of working so hard to fight to regain control of congress when people in our own party betray us like this? It doesn't matter, does it?

9. Not as long as corporations
and their whores control the Country, the media, and both major parties. I really doesn't matter much anymore.

10. The vote in Congress
Do you realize if seven democrats voted no instead of yes, even with
all the pubs arm twisting, the bill wouldn't have passed? It's
always the few stray dems that cause defeat on really important
bills. Just makes you wonder if their fight is just for show -
if they're not all alike and just try to pretend there is a two party
system. The same thing always happens in the Senate, those couple
of strays do it.

11. Hey guys, this was a no-win either way.
If the Dems had filibustered then the Repubs would be on all the morning shows and in the paper talking about how they were kept from helping the old folks by the dems. If it passes they get to look like heros. No one really looks into the effects of this bill. They listen to the talking heads and hear "Republicans want to give perscription drugs to old people." So anyone who opposes it will look like a shitheel.

We can't win on this one.
